Marc Gladman
MBBS DFFP DRGOG PhD MRCOG MRCS (Eng)

Marc Gladman currently works as a Specialist Registrar in General Surgery on the North East Thames Rotation and is an Honorary Lecturer for Barts and The London, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry . He is committed to the pursuit of a career in Academic General Surgery with a strong emphasis on teaching and career development. His background includes not only General Surgical training but also training and postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

He is currently a mentor for Foundation Year candidates at Barts and The London, Queen Mary's School of Medicine & Dentistry and has an intimate knowledge of the MMC application process. He has been involved in the delivery of career development courses aimed at the transition from house officer to SHO and from SHO to SpR at Advanced Medical Courses (AMC) from 2001-2005.

He is an established academic having completed a period of original research, leading to the award of a PhD. He is committed to undergraduate and postgraduate education. He has been involved with the publication of four books. Together with Manoj Ramachandran, he is currently working on a portfolio of books specifically written to provide career guidance through MMC training.

He has published 15 original papers, 25 abstracts and delivered 26 presentations (12 of which were at International level) to expert learned societies.
